Shamanic healing is one of the oldest spiritual healing practices known to mankind.   A shaman walks between two worlds, the seen world which is our own physical reality, and the unseen, or spirit world.   The shaman takes what is commonly called a shamanic "journey", where he/she works closely with compassionate spirit allies (teachers, guides, animals and other medicine helpers), to obtain guidance and facilitate healing for the spiritual causes of physical illness. With the aid of these spirit allies, lives are transformed and healing occurs in all walks of life . . . in our families, our communities, our environment and in our world.

The shaman believes that everything has a spirit, and that everything is connected in the great web of life.   As Chief Seattle said, "We are but one thread in it.   Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.   All things are bound together, all things connect."

This highly interactive workshop is designed to give you an introduction to the various
methods of shamanic healing.   Through the healing power of the drum (your spirit horse), you will learn to journey to the shamanic realms. Emphasis is placed on meeting an animal spirit guide or teacher who will guide you to discover methods of healing and problem solving. Working with a spiritual teacher is a collaborative effort, therefore you will learn to build an alliance that is based on mutual trust and respect.   Ample time is given for problem solving and discussion of experiences.

This course is the pre-requisite to our two and three year shamanic training programs
called Compassionate Journeys: The Shamanic Path to Spiritual Healing.

and wish to purchase one, they will be available for sale at the workshop.
Bring something to cover your eyes, and wear comfortable clothing.
Bring a notebook of journal to records your experiences.
You may wish to bring pillows or blankets to be comfortable
lying on the floor, or you may journey in a chair if you prefer to.
