The graphic in my banner was drawn for me
years ago by my beautiful
daughter, Shannon. It represents the Medicine Wheel and the unlimited power of universal love. The big bear is me and the little bear is my daughter. I love you Shannon!
Thank you for this gift!.

Compassionate Journeys:
The Shamanic Path to Spiritual Healing
Journeys Through the Medicine Wheel

Medicine Wheels have been used by First Nations people for thousands of
years. There are many different interpretations of what the Medicine Wheel
symbolizes, just as there are many Native American tribes, but most agree
that the Medicine Wheel is composed of the Four Directions enclosed within a
Circle. These Four directions represent the four races of man, the four winds,
the four cardinal directions, the four cycles of life, the four seasons and the
four bodies of man (physical, emotional, spiritual and mental). Some
interpretations include Up to the Sky (Above), Down to the Earth (Below) and
Within, making seven directions in the Medicine Wheel. Everything in
nature is sacred and was sent to us as a gift to us from the Great Spirit.
Every animal, plant, and mineral on Earth has a lesson to teach or a healing
quality to give. These gifts of the Great Spirit are connected within the
Circle of the Medicine Wheel. Illness in our physical,
emotional, spiritual or mental body is viewed as an imbalance within this
wheel. In this course, the Medicine Wheel is presented from a
shamanic point of view. You will learn to journey through the Medicine
Wheel to restore this natural balance in your life, and to take an active
role in your own healing process. Shamanic journey experience would be
helpful, but is not required.
